Chip Abernathy
President and Founder

Whether he’s helping an employer or a benefits advisor, Chip is constantly asking, “How can we outperform expectations together?”

His hands-on leadership approach puts Chip in front of everyone Touchpoints serves. He draws on decades of experience to create highly effective communication blueprints for employers. He builds deep, lasting relationships with benefits advisors by being there when it counts; from business development, through to long-term client retention.

Chip is constantly searching for and developing new and better ways to help employees understand, appreciate and make wise use of their benefits.

During his career, Chip has managed high-visibility clients such as Nokia, Conoco, and Sysco Foods. Chip helped to launch WayPoint Communication in 2005 and was instrumental in the establishment of Touchpoints. He earned his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University.

Chip is active in his community, his church and serves on the board of the local Young Life chapter. In his spare time, he likes spending time with his wife and 3 kids, friends and watching Texas Aggie football.

Jacque Abernathy
Strategic Director, Quality Control Officer

Jacque is obsessive about getting it right; the first time and every time. And, when you mix in her talent for strategic thinking, you have a perfect recipe for outperforming expectations.

The employers we serve know they can always count on Jacque to ensure their communication blueprint exactly aligns with their business needs and goals. And, benefits advisors know she does whatever it takes to ensure their clients are given everything they expect… and more.

She has 16 plus years of experience helping clients worldwide develop strategies that deliver measurable value by driving employee and organizational change. Her skills include HR communication, web-based communication, video, print, and management consulting and support. Jacque is a recognized expert in translating the complexities of benefit programs into conversational, easy-to-understand language designed to engage employees and promote better benefits usage.

In 2005, she launched WayPoint, which provides HR-related consulting and communications services. Prior to that, she was a senior communication consultant for two global human resource consulting firms and managed a communication practice in Sydney, Australia. Jacque earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from Texas A&M.

In her spare time Jacque loves to ride her Peloton, cook for her family, and spend time on the lake (well, that’s where she would like to spend her time).

Kate Moehnke
Senior Communication Consultant

Kate excels at interpreting difficult concepts and turning them into easy-to-understand communications. This talent is essential when creating employee communications that actually cause desired behavior change.

Kate manages communication projects from start to finish—creating the strategies, drafting the materials, managing client and vendor reviews, and coordinating design and production.

Her work is driven by the belief that if employees learn to take better care of themselves and keep more money in their pockets, their employers and their benefits plans will also be stronger and healthier.

Kate received a communications degree from Texas A&M University and is a member of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). She is a wife and mother of two who enjoys running in her spare time.

Shantell Sullivan
Senior Account Manager

Her passion for getting it right the first time, and keeping it right all the time, gives the employers we serve complete confidence from knowing their Portal and Pocket Pal is being executed flawlessly. Plus, our benefit advisor partners know they can count on Shantell to manage every detail in each new Portal and PocketPal.

Shantell has been part of the Touchpoints team since 2018.

With years of experience in the Medical, Human Resources, and Customer Service fields, she has gained the necessary skills and experience needed to expertly manage each client project.

Shantell loves spontaneous road trips and likes to travel with her family. She is a Certified Notary Signing Agent and a budding photographer known for the pictures she takes of friends and families.
