Our History

Touchpoints was founded in 2009 by consultants with a combined 60 plus years of HR, employee benefits communication, organizational development, and change management experience.

President

Chip Abernathy leads TouchPoints with a hands-on approach, creating effective communication strategies and building lasting partnerships with employers and benefits advisors. With decades of experience, including work with high-profile clients like Nokia and Sysco Foods, he’s committed to helping employees better understand and utilize their benefits. A Texas A&M graduate, Chip is active in his church, community, and enjoys time with his wife, three children, and cheering on Texas Aggie football.

Kate Moehnke

Senior Communication Strategist

Kate has a gift for transforming complex ideas into clear, actionable employee communications that drive behavior change. She leads projects from strategy to production, ensuring every detail aligns with client goals. A Texas A&M communications graduate and member of the International Association of Business Communicators, Kate is passionate about helping employees improve their well-being while strengthening their employers’ benefits plans. Outside of work, she enjoys running and spending time with her husband and two children.

Shantell Sullivan

Senior Account Manager

Shantell is passionate about getting it right the first time and keeping it right, ensuring flawless execution of every Portal and PocketPal. Employers trust her to deliver seamless results, and benefit advisor partners rely on her attention to detail. Since joining Touchpoints in 2018, Shantell has used her extensive experience in medical, human resources, and customer service to expertly manage client projects. Outside of work, she enjoys spontaneous road trips and traveling with her family. A Certified Notary Signing Agent and budding photographer, Shantell captures beautiful moments of friends and family through her lens.

Jaqcue Abernathy

Director of Strategy

Jacque combines strategic thinking with an obsession for getting it right every time, delivering communication strategies that exceed expectations. With over 16 years of experience, she specializes in simplifying complex benefit programs into engaging, easy-to-understand messaging. A Texas A&M psychology graduate and founder of WayPoint, Jacque has consulted globally, including managing a communication practice in Sydney, Australia. In her free time, she enjoys riding her Peloton, cooking for her family, and dreaming of days spent by the lake.
